Introduction to Particle Physics

Bubble Chamber Image of Particle an Antiparticle PairParticle Physics is the study of the fundamental building blocks of matter.

Our current understanding is that all the matter in the universe is made up from a few basic building blocks, known as fundamental particles, and is governed by four fundamental forces. In A-level Physics we will start to study these fundamental particles and forces, how they interact and why it is important to know about them.

This topic leads directly on from your GCSE studies in P4 Atomic Structure and links closely with the A-level Chemistry course.
